I read this article and I immediately thought about Marvin. This is Brian Hook talking about how DirectX, Glide, and OpenGL handle textures differently. Here's the interesting part:
"Unfortunately the lack of an abstraction will likely come back to bite them in the ass if they go from a dual to a unified memory bus architecture. At that point a single pointer into texture memory may not prove to be practical or efficient, and a new paradigm may need to be pursued."
It's probably a wonder that you got textures to work at all Marvin. Hmm, maybe you could give them a few hints.
